Oyakodon (サーモン 親子 丼) 
La parola Oyakodon è molto curiosa:
- Oya - 親 - significa padre (o madre),
- Ko - 子 - significa bambino o (in alcuni contesti) figlio
- Don - 丼 - significa piatto con base di riso.
Si può dire che lo Oyakodon sia un qualcosa come padre e figlio sopra una base di riso. Normalmente è fatto con pollo e uova (il padre è il pollo e le uova sono il figlio), oppure con salmone affumicato e uova di salmone.
Castle Inuyama (犬 山城) 
Il castello di Inuyama (montagna-cane) è il più antico castello originale presente in Giappone. Fu costruito nel 1440 and remodeled in 1537 by the uncle of Oda Nobunaga. It is close to Gifu and can be reached with half-day excursion from Nagoya. Was invaded in 1584 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and 120,000 men from Osaka Castle and Tokugawa Ieyasu to fight to gain control of Japan. The castle is considered a national treasure since 1935.
The Nintendo DS comes in Japanese schools 
In a girls' boarding school in Tokyo was introduced to the Nintendo DS in the classroom. The pupils of the seventh grade Joshi Gakuen school children play with the DS to learn English using the game "Inglese Training." The program is part of a course intended to learn English to Japanese shattering tradition of the store and repeat boring grammar exercises.
