Il castello di Inuyama (montagna-cane) è il più antico castello originale presente in Giappone. Fu costruito nel 1440 and remodeled in 1537 by the uncle of Oda Nobunaga. It is close to Gifu and can be reached with half-day excursion from Nagoya. Was invaded in 1584 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and 120,000 men from Osaka Castle and Tokugawa Ieyasu to fight to gain control of Japan. The castle is considered a national treasure since 1935.
