Kagamimochi

Kagamimochi (rice cake) è l ' addobbo per l'anno nuovo da mettere dentro casa. Il Kagamimochi è formato da two rice cakes in different sizes, placed one above the other. Kagami (镜) means mirror and Mochi (饼) is a sweet rice. Mochi symbolize the roundness of the old mirrors that in turn symbolize the gods through which it is said that you can communicate with spirits. The decorations Kagamimochi in turn, have specific meanings:

Kagamibiraki , which means "Mirror Opening
